His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum is a firm believer of developing people and the Center holds his values and leadership teachings in the highest regard. The Center’s programs are highly experiential as it believes that experience is the best teacher
Yes. The Center believes in continuous progression and the new competency model was mapped with the previous competency model to allow a continued and seamless transition for graduates to the newly designed programming.
The programs will be held in luxury hotel venues in Dubai with a potential of an international trip in some programs
They range from 9 months to 18 months depending on the specific program.
The Centre will provide a range of services that are both bespoke to the individual graduates in specific program and networking opportunities that are exceptional in their mode of delivery.
The Centre will be providing the most cutting edge methodologies within its programs; e-learning is only of these methodologies.
It is the vision of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Center for Leadership Development to create leaders for tomorrow’s world. To achieve this vision, the Center is launching its flagship program first. This program is designed to be an avant-garde experience that challenges leaders to move outside their comfort zone. It is a journey rather than an event, which will leave the participants being more effective at the end of the program. The curriculum is based on the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Competency Model and is delivered by a consortium of the world’s leading providers of executive education. The modules of the program have been carefully curated and contextualized to be readily applicable to the local context.
It is mandatory that applicants hold UAE national citizenship for entry into the program and they must also:
- Visionary and an achiever of that vision
- Decision maker and plays a key role in developing your organization’s strategy
- Responsible for the main outputs of your organization
- Leads a successful team
You need to have real ambition, a genuine impact career so far and a self-motivated, proactive approach. You’ll need to be a clear, effective leader and team player who can work across boundaries and quickly build a rapport with a wide range of people. Just as important is the ability to adapt to change and stay focused when the pressure is on. While you’ll have the drive and confidence to trust your own gut, you’ll also be a team player who enjoys working with others. Not least, you’ll need to demonstrate global citizenship, curiosity, agility and the ability to create value.
In order for a participant and his/her fellow learners get the greatest value out of this experience, participants will need to commit to attending all the modules and completing all the assignments. This will include approximately 8 days of class room training and 14 days of experiential / project based training spread over a period of 12-15 months with a break for Ramadan.
We aim to create an inclusive program to attract and develop the most talented people in the UAE.
You’ll be based in Dubai for the duration of the program doing your day job. Travel for modules will not exceed two weeks over the entire program.
We offer a rich variety of training, development, mentoring and coaching to help boost leadership abilities. Training is based on the 70/20/10 approach: 70% on-the-job training, 20% learning through mentoring, coaching and feedback, and 10% via formal training courses. A majority of the learning in the program will be linked to a current challenge each participant is facing in their day job.
Application for the program opens on the 21th of September 2019 at www.mbrcld.ae and will close on 20th October 2019.
The application process involves registering on the website, completing a detailed form online and taking a gamified assessment. As part of the application process you will receive a report that will help you make more informed career choices as you move forward. Selected applicants will move forward to the assessment stage. The candidates will then be invited to attend an assessment center that will last between 4-5 hours. A final shortlist will then be invited to enroll (maximum of 35 participants), complete some pre-work and participate in the program.
It is our estimate that the form will take between 45-60 minutes to complete. The gamified assessment will take approximately 30 minutes to complete.
Please ensure you finish both the application form and the gamified assessment. Your registration is only complete when you have completed both parts in full. We will not be in a position to consider incomplete applications.
